Review: Joyeux Noël (Merry Christmas) (2006)

2 06 2009

Joyeux-NoelJoyeux Noel is a remarkable film worthy of repeated viewings.  This movie is a testimony that above all the political wrangling and the myopic nationalism found during wartime, the “real” war is being battled by average people who have more in common than suggested by the term “enemy”.  The same fears, desires, hopes, and longings lie on the breasts of all people regardless of language spoken or customs held.  In respecting, embracing, and sharing those commonalities is found the road to peace and love.  No need to wait until Christmas to enjoy this fine film . . . rent it today.
